Working Together: Our Community Partners

No single organization can do it all.

At St. Vincent de Paul, we believe in the power of shared community. We work hand-in-hand with an incredible network of local agencies, local government resources, and regional non-profits to ensure that when a neighbor reaches out in a crisis, they receive a complete, wrap-around circle of support.

By collaborating, sharing resources, and referring clients to one another, we can maximize our collective impact and make sure no one falls through the cracks.

🍽️ Food Security & Emergency Nutrition

We coordinate closely with local pantries and meal programs to ensure every family and senior in our area has reliable access to healthy, nutritious food.

The Pelican Pantry (First Parish) — A vital local resource offering emergency groceries and pantry staples to individuals and families throughout the Newburyport area.

Our Neighbors’ Table — Based nearby in Amesbury, they provide a gorgeous, dignified grocery-store-style pantry layout and coordinate extensive food distribution networks across the entire region.

The Salvation Army (Newburyport Corps) — Coordinates emergency food boxes, seasonal assistance, and supplementary pantry supplies for local households.

🏠 Housing, Utilities & Family Stability

When neighbors face immediate threats of eviction, heating shut-offs, or complex family crises, we partner with specialized regional agencies to secure long-term stability.

Community Action Inc. (CAI) — The regional hub for critical low-income energy assistance (Fuel Assistance). We frequently coordinate with CAI to co-pay utility arrearages and keep local homes warm through the winter.

Pettengill House — An exceptional social service agency providing comprehensive case management, emergency housing stabilization, and therapeutic support services for children and families in the Greater Newburyport area.

Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center — A vital partner dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate domestic violence, providing confidential crisis counseling, legal advocacy, and safety planning.
